Wait List Policy
Waitlist Activation: Players on the waiting list will be activated and assigned to a total number of players allotted to a team as spots become available, which typically occurs when enough players are registered to form an additional team within an age group.
Confirmation of Registration: Please note that registration is considered provisional until the full registration fee is received. Official confirmation of registration and team placement will be provided only after full registration fee payment is complete.
Registration Closure: Once the official registration period closes or the deadline is reached, any subsequent registrants will be added to the waiting list for their respective age group.
Waitlist Management: The Vice President(s) of each division/program, in collaboration with the President, are responsible for managing their program’s waiting list, ensuring fair process and timely communication with families about the status of their registration. Communication of status can be shared by the Vice President(s) of each division/program.
Placement Efforts: DYSA is dedicated to accommodating as many wait-listed players as possible. However, DYSA cannot guarantee placement of a waitlisted registrant due to the following factors: exceeding the maximum number of players on a team, exceeding the maximum number of teams DYSA has based on field space availability, exceeding the number of players that ensure playing time requirements, not receiving enough player registrations to have the minimum number of players needed to form a team at that specific age group the player is wait-listed for, and/or the possibility of not having enough volunteer coaches to have an additional team.
If DYSA cannot offer your child a game day roster spot, DYSA will provide your child the opportunity to be a Practice Player.
